November brings another movie night, and Short Hour Movies is back for an evening of cinema, good food, and coming together around the big screen. 🎬
This time, we're gathering to watch Paris Is Burning (1990), Jennie Livingston's iconic documentary that takes us into New York City's ballroom scene of the 1980s. Through dance, voguing, fashion, and plenty of attitude, we discover a world of self-expression, identity, resistance, and chosen families. A celebration of the freedom to be who we are and the communities we build along the way.
To make the evening even more special, we'll have a food pop-up by João Ribeiro, bringing something delicious to the table. Because good food and great cinema are always a combination worth coming back for.
Bring your friends and join us for a night of cinema, good food, and plenty of personality.
Spots are limited, so make sure to save yours.
