Illustrated series by Gabriela Araújo about the daily distress of whoever goes through a burnout. Sarcastically, the exhibition focuses on the struggle between work-life balance, extra hours, bad bosses, and of course, therapy. In short, the Burnout Series is an exhibition about the daily life of many of us, somewhere between the tragic and the comic.

I'm Gabriela and I'm an illustrator and animator from Portugal. I've an uncontrollable impulse for strong colours, smiley faces, quick drawings and goofy characters. Illustration is my therapist, as it allows me to put my life on paper and see it, literally, from above. I often use humour as a tool to connect with people and sometimes, to raise awareness. I love how images can create communities and get people talking, sharing and even sometimes, changing their thoughts.
