Autumn calls for cinema in the shadows. And Short Hour Movies is back for exactly that.
This time, we’ll be getting together to watch Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), Tim Burton’s adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s iconic musical, starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. A tale of revenge, obsession and secrets, set in a Victorian London that is as dark as it is fascinating — filled with razors, fog, blood and a healthy dose of dark humour.
To make the night even more special, we’ll be joined by André Cabrita for a special pop-up, with a food offering inspired by the world of the film. A meeting point between cinema, food and the darker side of autumn.
Bring your friends, dress the part — or don’t — and join us for a night of cinema filled with shadows, flavours and Halloween spirit.
Places are limited, so make sure to get yours.
See you soon. Preferably before the razor comes out. 🎬
